Intek 190 into Baja DB30 - Bolt on or need parts?

#1
The stock motor in the DB30 we have isn't cutting it driving the nieces and nephew around and me. I thought about the Predator but a Intek 190 Briggs motor with carb is $80 and about a 80 minute drive away.

Will this bolt of easy?

Yes, relatively... You will need to ensure you have a 3/4" straight shaft crank stub on the engine.

Which means... You'll also need to get a new 3/4" clutch (I'd go for a 12T sprocket). You may need a longer chain #35 as well.

Otherwise, locate the engine noting a straight chain run, drill holes in the motor plate, and fasten it down (there are aftermarket motor adapter plates if this is troublesome).

Some sort of chain/clutch guard would be a good idea for safety.

I'm sure there are other small details others will add, but that's the broad strokes.
