Is this a torque converter?

I know the bigger part is a centrifugal clutch but would you call this a torque converter?

That's just a jack shaft set up.

If not mistaken typically a torque converter uses a belt from engine to jack shaft then chain that drives the rear wheel.

Torque converter works like a car CVT transmission with two moving pulleys they open and close in opposite directions to vary the gear ratio. What you have is a single ratio that cannot change while riding.

That's the answer I was looking for! I've done a good share of testing with them.

You would need both an engine shaft pully, a jackshaft pully and the correct length belt to swap it over.
