Hello, and you have chosen wisely. In joining this forum and picking a Golden Pinto. I am in the same process. I just got some nice reproduction fork decals from e-bay. Is your white motor, black seat, or??

Sorry for not getting back with you Alphabet Soup, just now starting on the mini bike project. I have the JC Penny Foremost Golden Pinto with the Tecumseh 3 HP white motor and black seat. I found the original paperwork on the parts and warranty from 1970!!! I am afraid I am going to run into problems with locating a rear wheel/sprocket assy', chain guard, aluminum scrub brake and rubber brake pedal pad. and so forth. I will try and find what I can.

Well, here is the frame and front forks. The engine, rear shocks, and seat are in a box to inspect once I get the frame sandblasted and primed. I actually want to go with the original color, it looks like some form of metallic green.........I guess I can run it by the automotive paint
store so they can do a color match like a vehicle color. Anyhow, at least I am on the right path to restoring this old mini bike. Well, I can not upload any pictures.......this is the error message I am receiving: "The uploaded file does not have an allowed extension." I will try another day.
