Well I finally had the drive axle go bad. The pinion gear stripped out. I was hearing some noise under there for a bit then it let go and would go anymore. Once before it did that but it was the roll pin in the ring gear that sheered off. Not this time. Big thanks to Mark G for hooking me up with a replacement. Its an old Ariens snowblower unit. Im going to have a closer look at the old one and see if maybe the bearings got worn and gave it slop. Im not sure. But while its in the air I changed the oil. I think thats the first time Iv done it. I saw lots of glitter in it from break in. I guess ill have to be a bit easier on it no more jumping and full speed trail romps.
