Just getting into this. What do I have?

On Christmas break with nothing to do. Decided that I’ll restore a mini bike my dad had laying around that has a modified predator engine. Big heavy thing, front and rear suspension, and those kooky mag type wheels. I love it. I want to pull it apart, clean it up, paint it a glossy bright orange, and ride it on the weekends. What is it?

It's a GTO 1300,1400 or 1500. You'll have to find out what the original color was to tell.

This red is original to my knowledge. What does that make it? Also, any clue on model year?

Gently peel the trailhorse sticker on the forks back to see what color it is. Mine was a rootbeer brown and is a gto1500. I think mine is a 1970 IIRC.

I found online that the 1500 has an alternator, which I would imagine was for headlight/taillight. Mine doesn’t have that, so 1500 is out in my mind.

The difference between the 1300 and 1400 is engine size. No clue what the original engine is
