Just got me a 69 cat 400x

Looks nice! :thumbsup: It might be a 1970 or newer with those folding pegs. The 69's had non folding pegs.

The 69' brochure shows it with non folding foot pegs but I have yet to see a 69' with non folding ones. (the brochure also shows fenders that were never used)
The dead giveaway is the non indent area for the kickstand. The majority of ALL the 69' Cats also had the Carlisle "diamond stud" tires....also regardless of what the brochures show.

I have a 69 cat 400x frame I may part with, Has folding pegs but does has no recess for the kick stand .

It is a 69...i well post more pic to day..i have everything too it but the kickstand and seat brackets..

:doah: Totally forgot about that. I looked again and it indeed does not have the indent. Sure sign of a 69.
