Just got my second baja, the Mini Baja, is this stock or modified?

Just traded in to this Baja Mini. So far it definitely needs new grips, throttle, possibly a tire, seat(broken bracket), and a thorough cleaning. Headlight is missing and I haven't looked in to it far enough to see if the wiring is still there for it.

Has some kind of 6.5HP from the looks of it, and what appears to be some sort of jackshaft setup?

Figure I would get the bare minimum to get it back together and going, and then decide what mods it gets. This is turning in to an addiction.

Any good places to get OEM parts for this, and maybe some info about the engine/chain setup so I know what I'm working with? Currently going through some user manuals on the Mini Baja that I found online to see if these have any useful info.

To help you out so that you know what you have for parts needs, you have an MB 165. Some MB 200 parts interchange but there are a lot of differences between the 2.

Here is a link for parts. - https://www.OldMiniBikes.com/Baja-Motorsports-Parts/MB165_HT65/

It has the stock setup on it BUT it is missing the tensioner on the jackshaft assembly. You really would be wasting money spending it on the stack JS setup. You will come out way ahead by spending the same money on a Torque Converter and making the bike better.

Here is a link for the Torque Converter. - https://www.OldMiniBikes.com/torque-converter-3-4-bore-41-chain.html?category_id=1710

Most here on OldMiniBikes recommend that you replace the belt with a Comet belt for better performance.

Awesome, thanks for the info Doug.

If I need to order engine parts, can I order stuff for the non-hemi predator or does it have to be specific to the mb165 due to differences? Reason I ask is because it looks like an old non-hemi and it looks like parts may be interchangeable.

Edit: Also, which comet belt should I get? I'm assuming it's a better/stronger belt than what comes with the torque converter kit you linked, is that correct?

This is what I have for the torque converter...

Are those the correct parts, and will I need to purchase anything else to make it work on my mb165? Also going to grab a few other things, mainly to replace missing OEM parts. Hoping to have the bike stripped, cleaned, repainted, and re-assembled before this stuff comes in. I'm excited...as much as I love my Stage 1 blitz, this mini is far more comfortable and a bit cooler looking.

That looks correct. If you want to double check the belt there is a chat feature on the OldMiniBikes that you can use for help.

There are also numerous videos on YouTube about installing the TC on the Warriors.

I'm having trouble trying to figure out what motor this is so I know which parts/performance kits to get for it. I'm assuming it's the stock motor. Possibly a 196cc? It looks a lot like a non-hemi predator but I'm afraid of buying an OldMiniBikes non-hemi perf kit and finding out something won't bolt up or the valve springs in the kit wont work.
