Just got the bike going Saturday. Not sure what needs adjustment.

So Saturday my son and I spent 8 hours trying to get the old motovox MBx10 going. We finally got it to the point as to get everything bolted on. The 30TAV2 was giving me hell. Finally, jacked the motor up and took out the gas tank and Temporarily mounted it on top of the frame. 57F51E7B-B989-41E1-AA29-4F9091AA452F.jpeg FD7CDDD4-90F8-4213-9CF2-B62BDA391D02.jpeg
At this point I just wanted to get the bike on the road right now to try to work out some bugs if it had any at that point, and it did. It was taken off a little bit after I took the choke off. When I rode it down the street and took choke completely off. It was hauling ( | )a**. Middle of the street, the front wheels wanted to come up. Insane torque. Way too dangerous for my son(16yo) to ride. So I let him ride it down the street with the choke on. Lakelly just ran out of gas at that moment when he got to the end of the block. Fast forward to today!!! I put the tach it today ,propped up on a 5 gallon bucket and found the bike revving up to 4K after I take choke off. Adjusted the idle screw till it sputtered and idled to about 1800 rpm. Took it out and ran a lot better. I was able to stop without having to turn the choke on. TAV was slowing the bike down like a engine brake (good thing). I was getting to about 40 MPH. Didn’t like the Way it was idling too much. Nothing big but just didn’t idle right. Brought it home and did 3-6 turns on the idle screw. Took it back out and got to open it up on a long 1 1/2 mile stretch of road. I got to about 47MPH. 26FB03D7-E695-42BA-B2DD-9AE5D0C22D7F.png
The original carb is on there, I have a #35 jet. It had a Ridiculous amount more torque on my maiden run. I took the header off too see A lot of carbon buildup(running rich). My question is, is this everything the needs adjustment, torque converter adjustment (have the rear spring on first hole). Is it that I need a new jet? Or is it because the carburetor idle needs to be adjusted again? Why did I have a ridiculous amount of more tours in the beginning and about 2/3 of it now? I’m kinda lost. I’m just going to put wheelie bars on it when I can. But, where did all the torque go? I hope I didn’t leave anything out and thank you all for taking the time to read this.

The second video sounds like you are running an open header, no muffler. The first video sounded like you had a muffler. If you took it off, put it back on and try it.
You can search youtube for many, many videos on adjusting carbs and governors on Predators. You will have to watch a bunch and perhaps 1/2 of those could have bad or incorrect info, but in the end, you should learn something useful.
Explain why the TAV was giving you hell. If you don't have the belt lined up straight, it will wear fast. It will seem OK at first then progressively get worse. If you are using the cheap belt made in China that came with the tav, buy an original Comet brand belt. They will last A Lot longer. The front clutch might need to a couple washers on the crank first to get it to line up with the rear clutch, some do, some don't. It depends on what tav you bought...

Here is a video on the driven clutch adjustments.

This video shows one being installed (mute volume as it has crap music) Notice at the 2:20 mark he installs a washer and a spacer, those are need for clutch alignment. At 3:20 mark he revs it up. You can see the clutches are aligned, the belt is straight and things are working good.

Here is a video that shows basic idle adjustments and top rpm adjustment.

It shows a Honda engine but the Predators are the same.

Omg thank you for the videos, I had all open headers in both videos. I’m at work working on my duel exhaust in my spare time here. I’m going to put a muffler(s) on it from Menards probably. I was reading about the carbon buildup. I need to pull the plug to replace it to something better. But i am happy with how fast it goes. Next I need to do is make some wheelie bars.
