Hi,

I went to purchase a Clinton A400 and left with a few more items...this being one of them.

Seller owned this a long time and said original owner/builder indicated it was a Sears kit. There's obviously some manufactured parts along with the homemade bits so, his story makes sense. There were Sears kits from around '59 but not quite like the hardware on this one.

The metal faux grill looks production and it has "Clipper Falls" stencilled over it....I'm guessing a little personalization from the original builder.
It looks to use a vertical shaft engine with belt drive. One lever operates the belt tension drive as well as the brake. The wooden block brake "pad" is original based on the tread pattern worn into it. Oh, and it has a nicely made wooden hoop steering wheel.

Any information is greatly appreciated.
