L.A Drag Spot.

Well that may be true, but your already running fine as is. I'm mainly talking about Solo, who likes to talk about weight, and money. I know he has plenty of spare race parts laying around. Because he mixes and matches parts all the time trying to see what works best. But I'm sure he is working on something to beat you with, it just takes time.

BUT, Evil Ed for you to not have any money. You do have a highly modified clone engine, way more modified than normal. Yeah, maybe it was all done for free or friendship but it's still a whole lot more than normal. So you don't have nothing to worry about.
If weight were a real issue for me, or money for that matter I wouldn't be racing anyone right. Not the case, I do race ...... Yeah I have something I'm working on. But its more for me to see how well I can do building it. Sure I'm gonna race it, but if all I do is improve from my last build then I'm headed in the right direction win or lose.

The way I see it is if I'm gonna go 3 inch I mine as well go 390 to start with.

That's exactly what i was thinking to. ebay had three used/excellent 390s last week that went for $350 each. Hell on JDs videos he posted 69mph 1/8 mile pass using stock head and cam. To me that's plenty fast already considering the few mods put into it.

Not hard to get 30HP out of a GX390. And won't hurt the bank too much either.

Not really the majority of my Cams and carbs came from trading work or other parts along the way. The way I see it is if I'm gonna go 3 inch I mine as well go 390 to start with.
That's the problem, if your even thinking of doing a gx390 motor. The head alone will cost you over $400. Then you have to buy a billet rod, piston, flywheel, cam, push rods, roller rockers, 30+mm carb, intake, etc. That's another $1500.

So take baby steps, the extra $350 for a 3" is perfect.

Trust me I know. And the 3" is not completely out of the question either. I just want to finish what I have already started. Have the time me changing my mind is why things take so dam long to complete.

Stay off the crack sir
A gx390 is in the big block class, No matter what you say your racing JD, Doom, Coco, Derek, And Big Ron. But your already having problems with Evil Ed's stock size motor.

30hp is not even close to being enough power for a big block motor. A bone stock gx390 with "ONLY" a billet rod, and billet flywheel is $350. No cam, no head, with a stock carb at the factory 13hp still.

I know who has the big motors. No way I could compete with those guys. And yeah 30HP was an example of how easy not cheap compared to doing the same to a small block. 50HP is what is needed to compete with those guys I'm already knowing.

Edwin was on the famous Evil Ed Bonanza. He just jumped on the bike and raced him,no practice runs. Prior to that race, Tim Isky took my bike for a trial run and turned an 8960 rpm run in the 1/8 mile and blew the head gasket. Edwin beat him with a blown headgasket and Edwin weighs 15 pounds more than me so it was very close pound for pound race !
