Ok so I bought a 1973 ball bearing hs50 670038….then I read an article, probably by Markus, stating that Tecumseh only made two hs50 3” shaft motors thst rupp used…670050 and 51….l looked it up….so this wasn’t either one of those motors….but I found a new crank 33837…so I bought it….and now we created a hs50/40 (again idea from Markus, great motor 40+10 thanks!) all the special ingredients…245 cam .020 over….6282, 18 pounders….and a light hs40 fly wheel and shroud….

well there you have it rupp guys a motor that will smoke that belt….

It’s a spray ceramic coating…similar to VHT…

Did you put that together already or is that the other one you had me bore awhile back?

That’s the one I just received this week….i get obsess in builds….but i also rebuilt the stator, made up the exhaust and manifold while waiting on the block…so basically it was just a put together….valves always takes me a bit….retirement sucks ass….boredom hath set in…..the other one is finished also….running out of blocks….
