lifan dirtbike engine on a mini?

Looking at building a custom project/chop. any thoughts on using one of the 125cc 4stroke lifan dirtbike engines on a mini?

I'm going to build a stretched and raked frame. Do those engines use a standard #41 chain sprocket?

IMO yes but if not Azusa Eng. can custom make you any sprocket....

There no rocket at 6 hp but the gears help find the right ratio.a clone with a few mods will out run it easy.

They are supposed to be replacements for the Honda engines, I own a Honda C70 Passport, I know others have swapped the Lifan engines on them and I don't think they needed to change the rear sprocket. I know for a fact that I have 41 chain on my scooter because I was too cheap to buy the "right" metric chain (415 ?). Ran it several years like that on dirt roads and tame paths and such and never had an issue with the chain. Unfortunately, I have not ridden it in over 15 years. :hammer:
