Yea I have a Sabre my self and it has the rear disc sprocket brake....I believe mine is a 69-70 model, yours might be a little older. Looks like you have a very good starter bike that's for sure .

It does have a bracket with a 90° bend where the brake cable is attached.
The drum brake doesn't look hacked or Jerry rigged.
Did all models come with a disc brake?
Nice bike! These are very cool bikes I sold a complete roller in package deal with an Alexander Reynolds Easy Rider I had listed here first, to a friend that lives in Cali he loves both bikes. Sweet Sabre nice find:thumbsup:
Yeah I figured disc only.
I don't know if I want to invest $150 or more for a caliper. I actually saw one go for $499 on ebay
Maybe sell it or part it out
