Hello everyone..Can someone tell me the best type of hone to prep a aluminum Briggs block for new rings.Also I have heard that you must use chrome rings on a aluminum engine.I don’t believe this to be true.Can anyone answer this for me.Thanks.

This is from the Briggs 'Single Cylinder "L" Head Repair Manual'. There are different rings for the chrome piston.

Since the original post is like 6 yrs old the link to manual don't work anymore. Is there somewhere else I can download the B&S L-Flathead manual.
