I started taking a non adjustable tec carb apart to rob something from it and it appears that the body itself is the same as an adjustable  anyone swap the parts over and use one, be nice to have a fresh body to work with and this ones clean/new.

:eek:hmy:I would imagine it would have to be machined for the low speed circuit?
Ahhh, I see know, I had popped the cap off and saw the standard head and thought it was just put there to keep people from adjusting it but after unscrewing it I see its a fixed jet and there is not enough depth for a needle :doah:

The high speed appears that I can install the needle assy on though. I dont know what this carb was intended for, will they not idle down? My buddy said he could not get it to run after a rebuild but when I popped the bowl off I found he stuck the black o-ring up into the main circuit, the needle seat was in cockeyed and the welch plug fell out of the overflow  Hes not allowed to play mechanic anymore

heres the stuff that came off it (not the adjustable on the right though)
