Mantini MBK 1

I want to see that engine sitting up higher, and angled forward. Recoil shroud in a darker color.

Think about mounting a fuel barrel lengthwise under those crossbars, rather than sideways.

Tell us about lights you're looking at. What switches, panels or buttons do you envision?

Wheres the battery going?

Consider under carriage lighting.

What grips? Other accessories? Tool kit? Mirrors are game changers, in my opinion.

I want to hear how it handles in turns and talk about clearances and adjustability.

Does the seat slide back at all?

I love those forward pegs.

Wow...thats a bunch of great questions. I will answer in order
#1 If I decide to run a TC then I'll raise the motor...the blower housing...agree it needs to be paint matched for sure
#2 Thats the plan and the top plate will support a nice spun
aluminum round tank...the lights if I run them the headlight will be a 5" old school chrome affair
Tail lite brake light will likely be a old school bates style unit
#3 the switches will be for headlights on off... the other switch will control the LED accent ( undercarriage)
# 4 the battery... I don't know just yet... I will need to engineer a solution. I am open to suggestions
#5 the seat is stationary
The frame has a TON of adjustability...frame..seing arm
Rear shock and engine side to side
#6 I am not ready for this to ride yet
# 7 grips will be from a KTM
Duke 390
I hope I covered it and thank you for the intrest

Looks awesome. I said raise the engine just to visually fill the space better, but I understand the TC and future tank are variables also in play. How about a nice carbon fiber switch plate? Don't forget start and kill switches too. They also have some slick modern light up switches available. I'm working on an electric start with alternator myself, and I am expecting I'll need some kind of capacitor and/or convertors to prevent dimming and surging of the lights, and to keep control over whatever charge I allow back into the starter battery. You may be expecting the same. And hey, your bike is so modern and fresh...you sure about vintage style lights? I'm loving this build, btw, and happy you like the undercarriage light idea. The bike practically deserves it!

And just one more thing, maybe look at this very compact battery that's just under 1.5" x 4.5". But you could probably hide a whole car battery on that frame, lol.

Finally, just one small mirror hanging down under the left grip. It is something I resisted a long time, but now I'll never go back. Then again, I ride neighborhood streets, along with the local traffic.

So I run a total loss electrical system...the lights and LED are very low draw...the main draw is the starter motor I have been using this simple formula for the wiring and since the flywheel I run will not support lighting coils
I have a solution that is easy to conceal too. I use button start and kill switches mounted on the bars they are nice alloy pieces. I might run a mirror but doubt it.

Mounting a battery on top of the engine...maybe a nice aluminum box...would fill some of that space and you would not need to mess with the powder coat.
A couple of removable RC car batteries would be small, light and not a problem to remove and charge.

That is an option worth consideration
I stripped the bike down to a roller as I am still not comfortable with the minimal clearance at the rear wheel.... ongoing issue
I ordered some assorted 12mm spacers and will be revisiting this as soon as they arrive...I don't care about a completion agenda. I want it to be right and am willing to put in the effort to make that happen
as always thank y'all for thew interest.....stay tuned

So a few posts ago the subject or question asked was about kill and start switches. I use a nice sturdy momentary switch from some near eastern country the red kill is left and the start is on the right so i can feather the throttle..hold the front brakes and push to start heres a shot
