Mega Moto suspension forks now available for $80

Should be an easy fit on any small-frame Chinese minibike (Baja Doodle Bug, etc.) with a 12 mm axle. I imagine they could be fitted to vintage USA minibikes after reaming the axle and steering head bolt holes to fit; appears to be sufficient material to allow reaming the axle holes to accept a 5/8" axle. They may have a Mega Moto or Monster Moto logo cast in the sliders (lowers), though; some may dislike that. The coveted Motovox suspension forks are nearly impossible to find, now; these appear to be very similar. Zero offset; I'd probably change that by modding the triple clamps. Price seems reasonable. I'm going to order one to see what they're like; if they're decent, I may order a couple more to stash.

Update/More Info: I received the fork last week; finally got around to taking some measurements. The fork I received does have Monster Moto cast into the sliders (lowers); I assume that will change as they deplete inventory (hopefully switching to decals). The tubes are 27 mm (1.063" or roughly 1&1/16") in diameter; the triple clamps space the tubes at 8.5"+/- center to center; length from the bottom of the upper triple clamp to the center of the axle is 19&3/16"+/- (unladen). Since the lower triple clamp actually clamps on the tubes, it's adjustable for head tube length. The triple clamps are drilled to accept a 10 mm steering head bolt and the fork lowers are drilled to accept a 12 mm axle; both could be enlarged; there is roughly 0.3" of "meat" around the axle holes, slightly less at the edges, more in the center due to a slightly convex profile. Weight is 9 lb (excluding the axle, nut and spacer that came with it).

so its a direct bolt on as per the wheel and axle? How is the movement of the shocks? Is it smooth? Like to see some pics of it installed
I have not installed it on anything yet. Per the Mega Moto product page (linked in post #1), it is supposed to be a direct replacement for small frame Monster Moto/Mega Moto bikes. You can see photos on the MM website.

FYI: Shipping was $13.00, so if you want/need any other MM parts, I would suggest ordering everything at one time to minimize shipping charge. I had intended to order the risers, bolts & nuts with the fork (I don't have a small frame MM which would already have them) but after waiting a year for the fork to become available, I forgot to order them with the fork.

I wonder how this would fit on the Coleman CT200U I just bought. I was thinking about running a front disc brake on it but I'm not sure how I'd mount it with that setup.

Might just grab one since they're relatively cheap.

I bought these to upgrade my kids mm105 and they appear to be made very well. I can't see them fitting on the CT200u. They are around 5 inches shorter than the CT200u-ex forks.

I was wondering that as well. Check the width of tire and trim, to make sure it'll fit.
I've got a set of DB30 wheels coming and would have no issue with swapping them out for the 8" wheels it currently has.

I'll probably give it a shot. Just got to get a few more beers in me so I don't feel as bad about spending the money. :scooter:

Should fit a CT100U. As @osu1978 said, too small for a CT200U. There's 7"+/- between the fork lowers, 6"+/- at the fender mount bosses.

I'm not too worried about length. This thing will never see off road so clearance isn't an issue.

Worst case it doesn't work and I keep it and find something it will work with. It's only $100 so it's worth taking a chance on.

It will work on ct200u... Just not with the big 8" rims. If you use the 15" tire on a 6" rim up front and put a 16" tire on 8" rear wheel it would work - Just saying.
