Mini bike Id? warning new guy!

Uh, Howdy
I have been a small engine and old car-tractor gatherer for many years.I always come across things that aren't my bag of bolts.I found a "chopper" several years ago and a friend has it now that fixed it up and just did a jam up job on it and they love it.
But this thing was leaning against a tree at a mans place I went to with my neighbor for tractor parts. He said it had been there 20 + years

The fellow that had this is 85 with cancer and I went ahead bought the thing because I fiqured it would be headed to the scrap yard if I didnt. He drove a trash truck for 30 years so he has some junk!

I have NO idea what make it is. It looks most similar to a Ruttman?
can you folks shed some light on it?
I will take some better pics when it quits raining.
It don't appear to be to complicated. If I had a twist throttle, and 1 of many little engines I have on it,and tires it could scoot.
But sadly I cant even ride a bicycle. Balance issues from a wreck.
But i have seen 1 of these type rigs with a side car. That is a option i could use to ride it myself. the 1 I saw was a clamp on rig, didn't hurt the frame.I don't like cutting and messing up history if I can help it.
The wheels have Sensation wrote on them and some other stuff I will get wrote down in daylight.
I have so many projects already I didn't need another 1,and fix en to get a 50's Ez go golf cart to.
but I figured I would save this from doom anyhow.
Any info is appreciated.
As for plans, right now,is to maby get the wheels off and cleaned up ,tires and put the frame in the electrolysis bucket and then primed.Just get it preserved and presentable. Then store or whatever.
And I will be honest, if this is something someone in the hobby wants for their collection let me know,I aint above letting it go to a better home .

Thank you sir.
I hunted on google images and a couple websites last night for hours with nothing.
Amazing.
So about what vintage is this, late 60's?
Also glad to see it is ok to use briggs on it.
Also, where would I find a photo or 2 of a side car to copy to make work for this?

Looks like it has all the hard to get parts already "Don't sell it" put it back together in riding condition you'll wonder why you didn't have one already. Welcome to OldMiniBikes and by the way if you look up at the top you'll notice OldMiniBikes.com click on it and you can get the small items you need at a great price!

There are a couple of guys that have side cars on their bikes on the Osseo,Michigan ride in the spring and fall. That would be cool to get it running again with a sidecar on it.

you could turn it into a three wheeler type of a bike if you are worried about balancing it. You may want to try it first with two though since mini bikes are low to the ground and seem to just naturally balance themselves once they get rolling. Good luck with your project that was a nice find

Thanks,
I will try to locate some photos of a axle conversion.
I dont care to cut and mess up the thing much. Never have been a hacker on antiques but if it hangs around here,I might want to ride it. Accident left me with issues in regards to balance,so it will have to stay up on it's own.

Hi and welcome Blue. Since the knowledgable guys are saying you have the hard to get parts, I agree with taking your time before you hack up an antique.

Dual rear wheels are pretty straight forward, both live and dead axle, using kart parts.

The side car idea though sounds pretty darn neat. You could keep this old beauty stock and original, and fab a side car to haul- well, I'd haul beer.

There are a few examples of all of those conversions on this site. It's easier to use Google for searching IMO than the search button above.

I am thinking on terms of a box,not much more than a milk crate or orange crate more so to haul stuff than people.
I did some reading and 30 mph on this thing!!!!!????
yea right! I can just see me doing that! Wobble wobble splat

Ok,well give me some time.I have a couple things tore down in the shop at the moment. But I am fiqureing to get the wheels off this and put it in the vat to derust and prime .that can happen while I work on other stuff.
But it will be briggs.I do have a techumseh with a factory muffler pipe and stuff and a raceing flag decal but it needs work.I think it is from a bike.It has a good clutch on it.I gather engines of all kinds

when I get around to fixen this, I need to see what the kick stand part looks like.
Also a chain guard pic. thanks!

Ok considering I will be useing a 3 to 5 hp briggs engine, depending on what I dig up out of the gathering of engines will these 2 parts from the above link do the job?
How do i know this is the right chain?
