Hi guys
I'm mocking up my Bonanza bc1200. I came up with bc1200 because it has the small tires and the rear swing arm. I know it's an early bc because of front pegs. Here is a picture of the front tag can anyone tell me something from the numbers thanks? I have a lot of pictures of where I'm at now that I will post very soon. I would just like to see if someone can tell me anything about the bike before I start posting the pictures.

Here are some pictures of what I got. The rear schocks are compressed and welded. The rims have been put together with long bolts and big a$$ washers. the front froks are in need of help. The left frok is pinched and rusted in place. The right fork the spring is stuck in tube. But for the price which was almost nothing I got a good frame and a set of wheels.

Hello Matt,

Looks like your off to a good start. I too am working on a Bonanza 1200/1300 bike with a built 5HP Briggs. I will definitely be checking for updates on the progress of your bike. Good luck and have fun!

The guy I bought it from threw in these rear schocks. It also came with the stock front fender. Because of the shape of the forks I could not get an axle through I had to use a screw driver I've been soaking the forks in wd40 for about three weeks now.
Now I need to put time in to freeiing up the forks.

Here are the pictures of where I'm at now. The jacksaft is new, it looked like it never had one. The raptor lives and is in place. The forks came apart with a little hammer and some patience. Not a thing broke so for now cleaned and back together. I'm going to get a set of the nice new chrome forks down the road. But for now the forks work perfect.
So this where I'm at. I'm going to fit the throttle today some time I will have pictures.

MAN, that thing is looking good!!!

Hey guys
I did get the throttle on and the cable and housing cut. Installed the clutch and cut a chain to go from clutch to jackshaft. Here are the pictures.

remember to warp that rascal so it won't fray everywhere.

at idle

at full throttle

new clutch and key I still need a center bolt

cut a hunk of chain for clutch side.

new master link

New bolts for fender. Look at the lower fork, looks like it sat in a puddle for a long time

Nice work Matt. I just used that throttle attachment on my briggs. I haven't hooked up cable yet. I was concerned with the angle of the swivel thing the cable attaches to. Is it a smooth operation?

Hey buckeye it is smooth as silk. As you can see I get full throttle and full return. At full throttle the cable just rubs on the fitting.I dont know if that will start to eat cable or cut into fitting. I think if I move the fitting down the bracket a little that would take care of that. In reality it rubs only at full throttle, a little. I don't see it really being a problem I'm not much of a full throttle guy.

I also want to say thanks to everyone for the props. Im having a good time, but have put all the stuff on I had ready now slow and steady.

Cool that is good info. I was just not sure. Mine looks just as yours so hopefully one less thing to have to be concerned with. Heck for 5 bucks I couldn't beat it.

HELP CAN ANYONE SHOW AND TELL THE SPACERS FOR REAR WHEEL?
I read on here once about a spacer inside the wheels between bearings for bearing side pressure. Please if you can tell me the spacers for the rear rim I would be in your debt. Thanks

Me trying to figure out where to cut and how to keep it square, help me.

Yep the price of that little throttle hook up kit is great. They are nice because they come with everything you need. I ordered a few extras. I'm not ready to reveal the color yet. I talked to Kenny and he is building a one off custom seat for two. So when the seat gets here I will post a picture then you will know the color so stay tuned. Kenny is very busy, good for him so I don't know when it will be here.I told hem no hurry, I still need to sand blast and powder coat. Just so anyone who orders a seat from kenny knows, he has a full time job and does the seats after a full days work. So you have to give the man a break on time.

Hey Matt

I checked my original one's that came on my Bike, they are for Kidney Bean style wheels..... I DO NOT know if they would be the same for Go Power wheels .....

When I install them inside my wheels, without them bolted together. There is not much movement from what I can hear and feel when I shake the wheel....

I get 2 & 1/8" for both INSIDE wheel spacers.....

I hope this helps you out Matt

BC1500 DAVE
