Has anyone heard of Friedel Muench? Guy was a madman. Not sure of spelling his name correctly. Fellow built handmade motorcycles with automobile engines. Custom built Superbikes before anyone knew what a Superbike was.

I was reading another article yesterday and the name Vic Edelbrock kept coming up.
Anybody ever heard of that guy?
Yup. Vic Edelbrock Sr. Was one of the early speed merchants after WW2. Made aluminum cylinder heads and multiple carburetor intakes for the late 1940s hot rod industry. Still making speed parts but probably corporate entity like most of the others.

Chandler was the one in a million rider who rode an open class 2 stroke at full throttle. If you listen to audio of old 500cc motocross you will hear those big monsters lugging around at lower rpm in their higher gears. Most pros would respect the power delivery of the big bore motocrossers. Magoo mocked them. Guy rode the big bore monster like it was a 125 and he was mad at it. Guy was fearless on a dirt bike.
