These model bikes use ball bearings for a bicycle.
Take one of the balls that fell out to a mom pop bike repair shop. They should have the balls loose to match.
Then you pack them in grease to reassemble.
The entire cone is not filled tight. Do not know the exact count of balls from factory but have used less than packed and have had no issues.
MTD is/was also Columbia, Ahhhh yeah like Columbia bicycles.
i concur, i seem to remember 14 as well. 14 x 2 = 28 ball bearings per wheel
48 total for both wheels.
i don't know where to get new, i just reused/regreased mine, but pomfish is putting you on the right track.
