I asked the guy if he had any gokart parts. he said no karts but two mini bikes. told him I didn’t want either of them at first but just as he was leaving I told him load up the chopper. kicking myself for not picking up the bird also. 52AA8FB7-A979-4F54-A08D-A3B8365D31E1.jpeg

still has the sticker on the air filter forgot to post this lastnight. I thought it was a cr400 bonanza when I first got it. Then the Facebook groups saw the sticker and were able to identify it for me pretty quickly. 07B41B22-381B-474F-9C58-84916BA4CB0E.jpeg D52F376F-4B78-448A-AD1E-629CD7393DB9.jpeg

I'm a hater or is that JEALOUSY here ;) $30 bucks. What a SCORE congratulations! Nice to know there is still deals out there to be had! keep us posted. :scooter:
sooooo many deals it was an all out massive get rid of everything fest. the guy told me the state said he had to sell everything the yard was unsightly. after a year of selling the state came back and said no no you don’t have to clear the yard just put up a fence. he was already so deep in selling i guess it was to late to quit now. to put it in perspective I didn’t want the dodge demon. so they lit it on fire where it sat I did get the truck next to it though. And a cub also a PA panzer. almost bought about 300 lawn boys. of course they had already scrapped 3600lbs of law boys before I got there.

Great score. I can't believe that sissy bar/seat/shock mount survived, must be made of some type of titanium alloy.
I stumbled across a free leather couch a few days after I bought it. Took a sheet of leather some stuffing from the cushion And a piece of wood from the foot rest to make the seat. the original j seats are expensive. I like my seat better anyway.

Original governor system was still in the engine when I got it and worked with a snowblower carburetor. the Lawson power products carburetor had a giant hole rusted in the bowl and float. Drain button rubber was gone. I made do with the snowblower carb I had and I’ll worry about the driveway when the time comes. Anyone have an h30 and can verify weather that edge is ground down from factory or if the po did that. It looks like a straight edge cutting into the line but it’s not. 5E3BEF57-8C42-4090-ABC6-D893BC33D74A.jpeg

I have put about 50 or so miles on the clutch that was on the bike when I got it and it’s nearly smoked. I bought a super nice max torque clutch that I hope I’ll be super happy with. on top of that a new j8 spark plug to replace the one in it. the original carburetor was very clean on the inside. it got a rebuild and will probably end up back on the chopper. 49AB66AC-2BBD-43A0-A5B4-6B4167100042.png E0116069-520B-4AB0-BF14-720804B2BB6B.png 5CAFDE4B-065A-4DC9-A703-4AD2958CBA5F.jpeg 78F7BC71-D827-4F2F-AEEE-9B6C5F2D2022.jpeg

the tank cleaned up fine. Bumped the jetting down from a 90 main to a 75 and moved the needle clip to the lowest position. Ran all over the back country I was about 10 miles from home and got back with just a touch of fuel to spare. runs so well. 1C2C45BC-4B16-45C2-A94A-CEDF5F6642D8.jpeg
