My Homade Three Wheeler

Here is a three wheeler I just finished this weekend. Made from a old Yamaha street bike frame. I put on a live rear axle, jackshaft, and a freshly rebuilt old 8 HP Briggs and Stratton. All I want to do is get a clutch cover on it and maybe a couple side covers. Nothing fancy....:thumbsup:

The quad

I did build the quad. It turned out really nice except for the steering. It would not turn do tot he push of the rear axle. It was the strangest thing. My neighbor and I looked at it for hours, I changed many things, but no matter what I did, it would just continue straight. It was the first and only thing I built from plans. I sent quality pictures of it to the site that sold the plans and they said it looked perfect. Soooo....It is now a three wheeler. It went from a 4 wheeler to a three wheeler to a mini bike, to a reverse three wheeler. Then I rewelded the front end back on. STILL didn't like it, so I made it a three wheeler.:doah:

Anyways, the way I have it now is a lot of fun. I still can't believe how much power it has for a 5 HP. :smile:

I just have to find a place to ride it!!!!!!!!!

it probably didn't turn from having a solid rear axle. if you were to only power one rear wheel you'd be fine.
