My Mini's

#1
Hey everyone! I'm a new member to OldMiniBikes and just wanted to show you guys my mini bikes. I'm a teenager and don't have a ton of money to spend, so I get the money for my projects by selling lawnmowers, snow blowers, etc (that I find in the trash and fix up). I usually keep the bikes and karts the way they are because of my low budget, but they still ride and look cool in my eyes. If you guys want to check out my mini's and karts you can go to my YouTube channel. Just type in 07Motorboy and my vids should come up. Feel free to comment. These are my mini's: Sears "Runabout", Cat 400x, and a cheap Chinese made pocket bike (still rides though). My go karts are: A Murray and the other one I do not know the make. Lastly, I have a bicycle that I motorized with a goped motor (also cheap Chinese made). I love Briggs and Tecumseh, and think they are the best motors. I always look forward to adding to my collection and working on a new project. Thank you, and I am excited about now being a member of OldMiniBikes.

Welcome to OldMiniBikes.
This is the kinda think I like to see.
Young teen, fixing up stuff, selling it, and fixing up what he wants to keep. Nice!!

The Cat 400x I do not have a vid of up yet, but I got it running and it is basically done. All I need to do is make brakes. Which I am going to do with plumbing pipes. (Scrub style).

Be careful when adding stuff to vintage minibikes. If you are going to modify them you may want to possibly trade a nice vintage one that isnt welded or hacked to someone for 2 or 3 ones that already are and play with them and sell them. More bang for the buck.

Yeah, if that, say the Cat, is pretty much original, there are folks that would help you get some of your other projects financed.
Just take a regular photo and post it.

Yeah, I've seen those, but I just like the scrub brakes. I have one on my sears and it works very nice. I'll figure something out, that still makes it look nice.

Thank you. My parents teach me if I want something, I have to earn it. I learn everything I know from my dad, who always has time to give me a hand or some advice. He is a lot better with the engines than I am though, and he had many mini bikes and go karts when he was younger.

The 400x is fairly nice, the only thing is I can see a couple welds on the frame. The frame is straight as an arrow, and the chrome is still on the handle bars. It could use a paint job though.

Well this is a great hobby and your father helping you is a great thing. All I can say is make sure you get lots of pics with him helping you. I can assure you those pictures will mean a lot in years to come. And when you teach your kids how to work on things you will see what I mean. Get your father involvedin this site as well. Most of the people on here are actually older and had minibikes as kids. Lots of 40+ year old fat guys riding mini bikes in the world and a great bunch of guys who will help each other.
