My Springer

To Massacre & OND - Thanks Guys! It rides very touchy because of those handlebars & the geometry in general. The turn radius is only about 15 deg. to either side because of the triple tree to frame clearance but that's a good thing. ANY sudden movement of the front end & you're dumping the bike in the opposite direction! This was going to be a causal drag bike build with lower handle bars but I didn't want to be hunched over all the time. These handle bars are just the right height to allow you to sit upright - but not so high as to be considered "Ape Hangars". I actually have a Briggs World Formula that I was going to use but it wouldn't fit in the frame (too long) Neither would a Tecumseh H50! (too high) So I put in a cheap new Briggs, stripped it down of all the plastic bs & put the retro decals on it. (standard 3 1/2 Hp, 148cc) Probably a good thing considering. The shocks work very well, BTW. I just have to concentrate on keeping it tracking straight! Best Regards, Rob.
