Just picked up a new 6.5 at the HF sale this morning. What should I do to allow this engine to flex a bit more of it's muscle? Don't need it breathing fire but would like a little more umph!

Thanks for the PM spoon. And as asking for mods, all I was wanting was a simple nod in the right direction. Anyonewith any sense could figure out that when I said that I just picked up a 6.5 this morning and asked what could be done to it could figure out I don't hae a clue on which direction to head. Screw sitting down for hours on end read every post concerning the clone mods. Besides, I would have to wade through to much BS like in this post to find the posts which contain some real value. If those who know cannot take the time to simply point someone in the right direction, then what good are ya anyway???? I mean geesch, you take the time to whine, piss, and moan about yet another question and with the same amount of effort and time you could have offered up a viable answer. Well, unless that is ya don't have anything of any worth to say!!!! Really makes me think twice about becoming a supporting member.

Is that right? And just how old are you if you don't mind me asking?
haha i love when people ask me that question because I'm old enough to know the next thing they say is never a complement, so i always reply "old enough for your mother but young enough for your sister"
after that 2 things happen
1: physical confrontation
2: the f bomb is deployed, I smile back and they walk away

but asking that question on the internet is useless unless your looking for a date and don't want to be on the dateline show "to catch a predator"

The mods mainly depends on your competition and budget. Building it up for a extra 3-4 more HP is already good. But I always say it's best to at least buy a billet rod for it.

I agree with MDB. Billit rod, aluminum flywheel, then u can remove the governer after these are done, rejet and a good pipe. should pick up a few ponies. Look at nrracing.com or affordablegokarts.com they have engine kits to buy.

Hey, thanks guys!! Gonna stay fairly mild with the mods on this engine. Gonna go pick up a couple more today and use one to heavily modify! Definitely want the fastest ride in the neighborhood! Last night I came across the sites mentioned and they are bookmarked for future reference and use.
