I was thinking about all the buzz online about citys not focussed on car infostructure, walkable citys with good public transit. The one peace of the puzzle that seems to be missing is some way to get larger loads from shopping centers and grocery stores home without a car. I had an Idea: a self propelled walk behind shopping cart. It could use the wheels and motors from an electric scooter and have insulated sides to keep grocerys frome going bad and a lockable lid in case it cant needs to be locked up outside for any reason and the storage compartment could be removed leaving a flat platform with tie down points for items bigger or more oddly shaped than what the storage comparment could hold. It could also feature the same push handle speed controle teck as some new lawn mowers where the speed you walk controles the carts speed. it would also need a parking break for when stopping on slopes. it might also be handy for this cart to be able to fold down flat for small apartment storage. this cart could potentialy also be good to help anyone with a disability that would make it hard to push a normal cart by hand and it would be great at large flee markets where people bring all forms of carts in order to shop more easily and often load them up hevily with tools household items and equipment.
