I have always been fascinated by anything mechanical. As a boy i took stuff apart to see how it worked. I would always scavenge local scrap piles at gas stations and bicycle shops and mower shops. I would pile the junk behind our barn and take stuff apart and sometimes could manage to reassemble them and make them work. Always enjoyed unique and different ideas and methods used by manufacturers. REO valve train actuators and Buick nail head motor valvetrain and antique Duesenberg sliding valve motor and Wankel engines were all fascinating for me. Found a video today of an older engine using horizontal valves and unique actuation method similar to the later 1940s Reo engine. Video is a bit boring and commentator is stale and boring but still interesting
