Where did you find it and did you get pics? Will you sell it to me for $100 before you pick it up? I will pay shipping.
Got pictures from a friend lady is out for the evening. I’m picking it up tomorrow if all goes well. I will assess what it is and it might get cleaned up and ran as display. Not one single picture of the J-power unit 1945 model that matches. If I decide to sell it spark gets first chance. I am exited and hopeful to get hands on with this engine.

Grrrrr I cannot get the piston to move. The crank and pins move free the piston is just jammed stuck in this bore will not move.

No don’t worry I won’t do anything drastic I think a first good step would be heat. IMG_2958.jpeg IMG_2962.jpeg

Coca Cola man!
Keep pouring it in as much as you can, let it sit till it drains thru, or just keep tilting it out and re-apply.
Patience Grasshopper :)

Old farmer trick for equipment which has sat in fields for a spell when pistons freeze which is really usually the Rings that are hung up.
Try it, nothing to lose.

Coke is good. Patience is best. I mess with a lot of old farm junk, and the best ring solvent I have found is trans fluid. New, used, whatever.
On the smoke motors, you can pour it in the intake and exhaust, too. The piston is also both valves. Fill the case with it if you have enough.
Since you have the head off, you can cut a board or a small log to fit in the cylinder and give it a couple smacks with a hammer every day until it moves.

The piston is STUCK.. The intake port side is clean as a whistle… The exhaust port has the white death… I have a chunk of wood I’ve been banging on the roof of the piston with and not a chance it’s budging soon. It might need to soak a long time. I’ll go pour some coke in it now thanks for the tip!
