Old Mini Bike

I'm pretty sure it is a early Wards bike. The rear mounts and the plate cut out sorta lend itself toward Wards.
Sorry for the crappy pic.

No, The Wards bikes had a frame shape design similar to a Bonanza and the rear axle mounts are much bigger than those.

I'm not usually right, but I'm pretty sure if you check the Sprite brochure this is one.
Nope, not a Bird Sprite. Wrong rear axle mounts, foot rest bar is wrong, the frame rails at the bottom are much closer together on the Sprite. Also the front down tubes are almost parallel to the rear tubes on the Sprite where this bike they aren't. The forks and kick stand look like Bird Sprite but the rest doesn't.

Damn! I have a Sprite in the garage too. I see the lower rails now that you pointed it out. I was hoping they removed the pegs. Heading to the optometrist...

The forks, engine plate, scrub brake, and rear mounts are similar to a Cal Kart, but the only model I've ever seen was the Invader, and the frame was shaped different. This isn't the first one of these posted, and I don't think they've ever been identified.

I just went out and checked mine and it matches this bike so I guess mine isn't a Sprite? What the heck am I gonna call the build I'm doing??

What are the chances that I would find another mini bike just like mine in the same area I live in (Saint Louis, MO)? I can't believe there are more out there and no one here has ever identified this bike.

2 vintage mini bike frames
The 1st bike you posted has forks from a Bird sprite/falcon like the two frames on your local CL which are Bird built but the frame is not Bird built. A bird Sprite frame narrows and the engine plate hangs over the right side by a bit. A shot of those rear axle tabs will help to truly ID the frame, it's not a Bird.
