It's a blown 502. The car is pro street meaning it will be a street-legal car when it's done.
This is a Bill Mitchell "Hardcore" engine. I bought it 15 years ago at an estate sale and saved it just for this project.
Here are the engine specs...
- GM Gen VI block
- Forged rotating assembly
- Forged blower pistons (8.2:1)
- Polished Dart 360 heads with Jesel shaft rockers (awesome)
- Custom grind Isky mechanical roller cam
- Jesel belt drive
- Polished BDS 8-71 supercharger
- Twin Custom-built Quick Fuel boost-referenced 950 double pumpers
- MSD ignition with forced induction timing retard
- NOS 6-71/8-71 supercharger nitrous system with solenoid upgrade (set to 400 HP)
Here it is on the dyno... at 12 PSI boost it is over 1,000 HP.
In street mode running 93 octane pump gas with 8 PSI boost it had 950 HP @ 7,200 RPM.
I didn't dyno it with the nitrous but you can get a good idea of what it will do on top of the 1,000+ HP.
Race gas is required at 12 PSI boost and when using the nitrous.
