Powell restorations 4 at a time

Nice engine!!!! Good Job EE!

And Paul, congrats again on the twins. It's neat to look at that picture of them together in their innocent/unknowing state and imagine all the adventures and life that lie ahead of them.:thumbsup:

A Perfect Powell Day!!

Yesterday was another dream day! Evil Ed came to my shop to help me assemble some more! I have 2 identical Powell "C" Models to do and Evil had finished the first Copper 5hp Briggs!

Surprise, ToyCarTony, who lives an hour away, offered his wife a day at the Camarillo Outlet Mall (5 minutes from my shop), and he came by for a few hours, and got a gas tank Ed had for him; and JamesC, who also lives an hour away, made the trek and hung out- how cool, thanks to you both!!

Terrible picture, but that's (l to r) James & Tony (who combined own about 85 bikes I think!) and Evil!

So, here is what we got accomplished;

That last picture, above right, is how I will be keeping it, below the 2 speed "L" model we put together right before Funday #2 in September. Next week I'll buy a chrome gas cap and have the seat done.

Then, yesterday, we still had a couple of hours so we started putting together the other "C" model, the one I would really like to sell ( http://www.oldminibikes.com/forum/complete-mini-bikes/53530-perfect-powell-c-model.html )!

For the nitpickers; when Evil brings the motor for this bike, we will finally put the stickers on all my motors, including the Taco 100, the Skat Kitty and all 3 Powells!

You just gotta love this hobby!

Gorgeous Motors!

.

Those are the engines Evil Ed has painted for me; Taco 100, Skat Kitty, Powell 4hp Tecuseh and the Copper Briggs!

The pictures do not get close to really showing the fine quality of his work and the beauty of the colors! If you are building a keeper and you want the motor to look perfect, make a deal with Ed! He will give me a bad time for saying all that, and that is ok, but if you see the bikes in person the motors blow you away!

That place looks like what TOYS R US did when I was six! Bikes look top-notch. Great job, and the way the place is clean and organized is most impressing.
