Here's my setup with the governor still functional. Got this spring at Lowes. This still allows the throttle cable to be connected from the front or rear.

This is the spring I used for a throttle return, [MENTION=58846]zummerp[/MENTION]. I don't know if your question was directed at me or not but, I hope the information is helpful to you and potentially anyone else interested.

I found the spring at Lowes in their Hardware section. These are very inexpensive so you could try a few different sizes and see what works for your application if you can't find that exact one.
