Rare Tecumseh 3.5 find

#1
Hey everyone, just picked this up a couple days ago.. Besides my minibike addiction, I've been collecting & dealing with Tecumseh small blocks for quite a few years now... I have to say, I've never seen one of these in this size.. It's a new old stock, never been run 3.5HP small block, Industrial/Commercial. It's a side pooper, and has a 3/4" keyed & tapped ball bearing crank.

The shroud stamped model number is HXL35, and it's a 1989. It's even got the larger 1 gallon fuel tank. I've seen these XL engines in 8-10HP versions, but never a 3.5HP small block. Anyway, just thought I would share some photos of it with everyone.. Thanks.. -Marc

make a great replacement engine for a vintage minibike. another big and i mean BIG give away is the gas tank. made to run for hours and hours. only find that type of tank on big blocks only. easy to replace it with a small tank..

I have a few side exhaust engines from the 60s that have the steel bores. I haven't opened any up yet to see if they have ball bearing cranks too.
