Rebuilt Clinton Panther

#1
This is a fresh rebuild. The original carb has been thoroughly cleaned and rebuilt with new needle and seat, new high and low speed needles and springs.
The block has new main bushings and seals, a NEW piston and rings, used crank from an A400-1000 with 5/8 PTO and a 245-110-500 connecting rod. That is the upgraded rod that came out with the 500 model in the early sixties. This connecting rod is much stronger and will rev a lot higher than the older rod. It has a nice aluminum flywheel. The governor is connected with all factory linkage, but the spring is something I came up with. The cooling shroud came from a Sears generator and it has a hole for a cutoff switch. I do have decals for it, but they won't work with that hole. I painted it with farm paint from Tractor supply. The paint is not pretty.
I test ran it with a chainsaw carb on it and no governor. It ran strong and sounded good. I plan to sell it with the rebuilt original carb and the original muffler.
I am in Eastern North Carolina, near Jacksonville. I can ship it if you pay the shipping. Asking $450, but that is negotiable, because I also have another one.

The other is an A400 totally disassembled and partially media blasted. I have a NEW in box 245-110-500 connecting rod, a new in box crankshaft with 5/8 PTO, cast iron flywheel, plus another aluminum flywheel, brand new megaphone racing header, several chainsaw carburetors and a box of media blasted Sears generator parts. The second engine does NOT have a mount to put it on a mini bike or a kart. Those are hard to find. This one has a cooling shroud that does not have the holes in it for a switch. The Panther decals will fit on this shroud.
I also have some other parts, gaskets, used pistons, a few new in box connecting rods, (older, not the stronger upgrades for the 500 engines, but the do interchange.
$900 for the whole load of Clinton stuff. I'll ship it to you, you pay for it. It might be 4 boxes of metal parts. I can get pictures of anything you want to see. Yes, I might part out some of it.
