Cool Kart!

If that Tecumseh engine is the original (of which it looks very likely to be), snap a picture of the engine number, which is typically stamped into the top of the blower housing, or on a metal tag attached to the blower housing with rivets. We should be able to get a pretty accurate idea from there.

Engine is newer than the kart frame. Looks to be a very early concession (rental) kart with all the protection around the frame. The scrub brakes make it early kart design from the 60's, steering wheel looks like a Simplex but I wouldn't bet on it. Back then there were well over 200 kart manufacturers advertising in the karting magazines.

Thanks. The original owner I acquired it from said the engine was replaced in the 70s and it was purchased in the late 50s with a Clinton on it.
