Removing the big block bump

The big block covers without a bump are getting a little harder to find in good shape sooooo....... I have a nice solid cover with a bump and a not so solid cover without the bump... The donor cover was all rusted out on the bottom more than likely from sitting in the dirt or some old damp floor...I started to repair it but decided it would be of better use as a donor...... I also welded up the fuel line holes..... the pics pretty much cover the rest...

Thanks Owen.... I couldn't trash the cover just because of the bump since it
was solid, just surface rust but yet I wouldn't use it on a bike with the bump...it's not perfect but most people will never know once it's painted...

I found a vertical shaft cover on ebay to replace the rusted out one that came with the engine. I like it because it didn't have the fuel line holes. The repair that you did looks great, nice work
