It holds the wheel bearing between the brake drum and backing plate. #21 on this explosion.

While it may physically fit on a HS50, it is still a 4hp intake. The bolt pattern is the same, but the 5 has a larger opening at the engine side.

Here is a row of Tecumseh "slant" intakes, from left to right: H30, HS40, and HS50:

The part number for the HS50 intake is 33669:thumbsup:
