Searched and searched....looking for an easy answer regarding timing and arc flywheel

#1
Hi Folks,
I DID search for at least an hour....so if I missed it, pardon the ignorance.

New non-hemi HF predator engine. New Arc billeted flywheel (non adjustable 8degree advanced)

Do I need to "adjust" timing after installation?? Or can I assume timing is "on"?

Mod 2 cam BTW.

Thanks!

You can always check it with a light and wheel. That "should" give you 32 degrees BTDC. However it is common that the base timing is plus or minus 2 degrees.

Thanks for the clarification! So I should assume that the timing is "close enough", unless I have problems?

I would say there is no wrong timing as I have played all over the place with timing on my bike I am at 40 degrees or so now and its great I'm using a flywheel that's 32degrees out and a 8 degree key And my coil is a secret that could put it even farther out
