Shocks/Seat springs for a Doodlebug?

#1
Hey yall, was wondering if anyone could recommend some springs or small shocks i could use to make the ride on my DB30 a bit more bearable on rough terrain? I'm thinking of reinforcing the seat pan with sheet metal or plywood, and using some miniature shocks or springs underneath the rear of the seat with the front on a hinge. I'm trying to keep it simple, but i can weld/fab a bit if needed.

One thing you can do is get rid of that crappy OEM seat and have a nice (THICK) custom seat made with good/firm padding. That is what we did on both our DB30's and it made a significant and noticeable difference in the ride.
