Paul, who owns the shop is a clean freak! Yes , you can really eat off the floors. This is a good thing! Especially if he is working on your stuff!! Check out the wall ornaments.
We still have to paint the tank, finish exhaust, put in jack shaft sprockets and do some more wiring and we will be finished. Will show you the finished mini in a week or so. Check out the chrome on the shifter and kick starter. The chromer went all out and smoothed and polished them like jewelry. Not exactly stock but way cool!
Paul goes all out to make if a fun place to visit or just hang out by the fire place. The birds will often carry on a conversation with anyone in the shop
The "TORQUE" heat shield came with the pipe but the long shield was missing. Pauls neighbor Frank, who is a welder, Fabricated the long heat shield out of stainless steel. We polished it and then had "BONANZA" engraved to match the "TORQUE".
The "Steens" exhaust came with a hose clamp to fasten the pipe to the cylinder. This was standard with this application. Paul hand crafted his version of what the clamp should look like.. not to mention it is way stronger.
The exhaust came with the same mounting bracket for the rear as the Bonanza did. When modifying the pipe we made sure we could use the stock bracket minus the longer brace. Now it fits perfectly right over the shock mount and utilizes The stock shock bolt.
The silencer insert came flat black. I talked Paul into polishing it. I Think he is getting a little tired of my asking him to polish "everything". He's a good sport though !!
