Yes I agree. Most all my bikes I would consider restomods.Mainly because I can always find the oem parts or to expensive.Also I like the extra pop of nicer paint,powder coating and more chrome. I do the the motor should be vintage though.
Even just 5-10 years ago they were pretty easy to find.
Keep your eye on local Craigslist. And Fleabay. I'm not on Faceplant, but I assume their marketplace too.

HA! A few years ago, I'd say that and get a ton of shit for hating on OHV engines. Then I built a few OHV engines, and I thought, "wow, these things have some power!" And they do. But they look and sound like everything that is wrong.

Though, I will be one that will see them become older and older, and less and less common, as I am quite young. That is, if I don't die in a very epic mini bike crash..... I wish I could have flatheads forever.
Let there be no pessimism though. I'll get a TON of fun out of flatheads either way.
