Here's a picture of a 1971 Speedway Shrike fitted with a new TAV series 20 comet clone. The opening had to be cut just a bit in two spots (right side and top side in this picture)....

Here's another picture basically showing the same thing. This is a 1971 Speedway Scarab. Cuts had to be made in the same spots. Additionally the swingarm mount bracket was lengthened to move the swingarm about 1/2" backwards. This allows the new comet clone series 20 driven enough room so it doesn't interfere.

Right but there’s some modifications made to the jack shaft. I use a brand new jack shaft and start fresh. Don’t use set screws for anything, use spacers. Have jackshaft threaded On both sides 5/8-18. So you just remove the nut on the jack shaft on the TC side, and move back the jackshaft. put the belt on then slide the jackshaft back in position. Then replace the nut.
