How can I tell if a motor I just got has been upgraded? I don't have any experience with these predator engines. It is the 212 motor, it does have the stage 1 air filter on it but how else can I tell? flywheel key? jets? please advise
Pull off the whole piece that has the pull start to uncover the flywheel. See if its aluminum or cast iron. If its aluminum I would open the case to see if there is a billet aluminum rod. Also upgraded valve springs are pretty common.
