Ope tech ,I'm very interested in the rear sprocket-disc brake conversion. My super bronc is missing the original comet set-up.It looks like the new style comet 30 tav 2 won't work with the original band brake and mounting plate,so I'm screwed with no brakes...well,there is the front drum, which seems useless. Can you post any pics of your set up?
you can contact chatten63 for a complete new factory tav plate with brake setup.......

Hey OPEtech, looks very good but I’m curios which SB you have? I have a vt812 the fat front tire but I need to solve my braking problem. I have the front drum but no rear band brake. I can’t afford the original clutch plate with the band brake.. I was very interested in your conversion but when I saw picture it didn’t look like my forks/wheel. I’d like to see how you did it

Mine does have the 12 inch front tire as well. To be honest, it took a bit of improvising to get everything to fit and work properly. The only drawback, is that I had to move the front wheel to the right about a half inch to accommodate for the caliper.
