Taco 22 with Mc 9 engine

#1
Just finished this one a couple of days ago. McCulloch kart engine(Mac 9) jackshaft mounts added, rear scrub brake, wrong rear sprocket, but correct wheels. Small 1 qt gas tank, thin seat with pleats. Guess I'll hang it in the garage, too old to be pissing off the neighbors and going to jail.

Thanks Havasu Dave, been about 5 or 6 years since I built anything. Got another Taco 22 with a B&S 3hp on it. If we ever have an EMP(Electro-Magnetic Pulse) bomb dropped on the US of A,guess what I'll be ridin'!!

That is too nice of a mini bike not to ride.

If it's just the neighbors you are concerned with...ride it like you've got good sense, wear a helmet, and wave at folks. I think you'll get more smiles than anything else.

Keep up the good work...

Noise is an issue...........a '60s kart engine with an exhaust like this one is LOUD. But I would agree, the advantage is high rpm.(The power comes on rather strong after 4500rpm).
