I don't have an answer for you on the polished parts, but did notice the kill wire connectors & wire hanging pretty tight.
I would put some slack in the wires, & seal over the connectors with a piece of heat shrink tubing.
It would suck if you got in a jam, & couldn't shut the bike off,, other than pulling the coil wire.
Nice bike by the way.
If it were mine,,
I would run the wire from the switch, along the inside of the top frame back towards the rear upper support bracket.
Then I would run the wire forward along the inboard side of the bracket towards the front of the engine.
& then of course,, secure with zip ties.
