TAV installation question

Does it matter which way the driven is mounted? I’ve seen it both ways. These pics are from the same add and it’s mounted both ways. Thanks. AD830F7D-F21E-47FE-8D94-DC3B00C55402.png B641D4BC-86F7-40C1-814C-C029D8DA100B.png

Yes it matters. A 30series has one flat side. The flat side of the driver has to go on the engine side. The belt is flat on one side so the driven has to have the flat side on the same side as the driver. Spring should be outboard.

If you are wanting to "re-clock" the plate for a kart, it will work fine that way. The driven needs to be mounted with the hub outward...it is way wrong in the pic! There is a reverse spring that will allow its use like it is mounted in the pic, but that unit doubtful it has that and the belts won't align! ...and what randy said...flat side of the belt towards the engine and make sure pulleys are somewhat aligned!
