TECUMSEH CARB QUESTION

Does anybody know the difference between the 631796A and the 631702? The diagrams look the same to me. Thanks

I believe the 796a is the updated version

Thanks Skipp,I was thinking the same. The guy @ my local lawnmower shop thought the same based on numbers we came up with in his manual

Can I swap out any choke shaft/lever from another Tec engine to that carb? The choke lever wont work for me.Thanks

that 631796a is a "service carb" they usually dont come with levers and sometimes no inlets. You transfer your parts on to fit your application. OEM Tecumseh carb bodies like that usually have 2 locations drilled for the spring detent for the choke lever depending on which style you need/use.
