Throttle linkage setups that have worked well for me

I've seen some threads asking about throttle linkages... Here are two that have worked very well for me, and given zero issues.

First, a setup for a stock OHV with governor:

Next, a setup for modified (i.e. ARC flywheel, rod, springs, cam, etc) OHV engines only:


The threaded piece is intended for a choke cable. I have never put one in yet.


There is a duplicate 'hillside' nut on the inside of the blower housing. This approach allows the linkage plate to mount square to the engine. What you see is an all-thread nut cut at an angle, the other piece is inside and not seen.


This is the plate installed. The bell crank reduces the ratio for a better feeling pedal.
